What the actual…..?  Honestly!  So much changed not just in the wedding industry, but for life as we know it & it all happened so faaaast.

In the last couple of weeks before all of the new regulations were enforced we were frantically updating guest list with couples so that they could proceed with their weddings within the new guidelines of guest numbers.  Working with caterers updating menu selections to avoid multiple people touching one plate of food (damn you shared mains!).  And don’t even get me started on the number of guests we busted stealing toilet paper!!!

All of these were early signs of the human races amazing ability to be adaptable….and for this I am frequently finding myself taking a step back to look on in awe as so many of the incredible people that I surround myself with adapt, change, develop, grow….dare I say it, improve?

There is one thing I know for sure about the wedding industry….as we strive to build an environment that legends want to be part of, as we focus on community over competition and see an increasing number of suppliers within the SAME categories working together to create networks which provide couples with a variety of choice….the wedding industry is and will always be extremely competitive.

But this isn’t a negative.  In fact, the soul of this competitivity is the same thing we celebrate….it is LOVE!  It is because of a passion for what we do & the beautiful people we do it for weekend after weekend.  It is what makes us choose your families over our own every Friday/Saturday/Sunday from September to May.  It is what drives us to climb trees in order to get those festoon lights looking perfect, or to get the best angle for a shot that you will hang on your walls for many years to come.  It is a love and respect for the outstandingly talented humans we work with and the strong friendships we have formed.

It is also the very same reason that we are so deeply feeling for every single couple that has had to make changes to their dream day because of this stupid virus.  Why we are here to support you every step of the way and will continue to be by your side until you have entered wedded bliss with the love of your life!!

This will end.  We will look back on this in years to come as only a moment in time.  We will celebrate again & by George, when we do I might start supplying cages for wedding guests, because shit is going to get loose!!

A wedding is a day, a marriage is a lifetime (which, of course I recommend celebrating with a freaking spectacular party).  I will not say ‘bring on 2021’ because I feel like 2020 has taken me down a few pegs, but I will say this – we love what we do, we love celebrating your love and happiness with you & we’ve got your back baby.
