Why do the guys suits and experience sorting their outfit seem to be forgotten through the wedding planning process?

The one huge gift grooms have after their big day is they can get away with changing their shirt, tie and shoes and wearing their beautiful suit time and time again. So why not invest in something really well fitted and beautiful? And why not have a great experience having your suit fitted while you’re at it?

We love the new wave of wedding businesses encouraging grooms to get involved more in their own outfit planning. This is the new suit fitting experience, driven by our very own wedding fair vendors YSG & Co(Your Suit Guy & Co). Shopping for suits used to be so boring, in/out, nothing personal, this equals poorly fitted suits that look so horrible in photos an so unflattering.

Recently we were lucky enough to witness the experience at YSG & Co first hand. These guys have created something that takes suit shopping and fitting to the next level. Owners of YSG & Co, Dylan Marshall and Ryan McIntyre, have created not only an amazing experience while the guys are being fitted for their tailored suit, but ensure you are looking super sharp head to toe for your wedding day. We’re talking about the suit AND accessories, shirt and shoes all completing the look. Baggy pants and long daggy hems BE GONE.

The process is easy, fun and bespoke. Catch ups are appointment based so you can work around your schedule and that of your groomsmen.

The space Dylan and Ryan have created is super comfortable and uber stylish where the entire group will feel relaxed as soon as they walk in the door. Beer or Scotch on arrival? While one or two guys are being measured up you have got couches, bar tables, table tennis, Nintendo, or Foxtel to keep the rest entertained.

Now to the suit part, you have complete control of designing a unique look for your day. Importantly Dylan, Ryan and crew are there to guide you through the entire process from fabrics, buttons, inside linings, embroidery, jacket and trouser styles. Then a number of fitting take place to nail the fit, minor adjustments if needed and finalising accessories to complete your entire look. The joy is you can get everything here, it if your one stop shop.

Importantly, Dylan says a lot of couples believe the suit is one of the last things to organise, not so. Dylan’s recommendation is to touch base 6 - 9 months from your big day to truly leave the time to be organised and on point with no last minute running around. Depsite these guys being able to turn things around quickly it’s important, especially when you have a bridal party that everyone is able to be fitted and suit organised in time. The guys then do some fitting closer to the big day in case any weigh fluctuations have occured (#shedforthewed).

Having seen the process ourselves we can highly recommend not only having your suit experience created by these guys but also allowing you and your groomsmen to be spoilt like this. It’s fun, like hanging in a rad space and with awesome service.
